Naafi Pay

Shopify Integration

Shopify does not natively support Bangladeshi MFS rails, but with the NaafiPay Shopify app you can offer bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and bank transfer at checkout in a single click. The app installs as an additional payment method, so your customers see it alongside (or instead of) cards. Orders captured through NaafiPay flow into the standard Shopify orders dashboard, fulfilment workflows continue exactly as before, and refunds processed from Shopify automatically refund the underlying NaafiPay payment.

Install the app

  1. Open the Shopify App Store and search for NaafiPay.
  2. Click Install and approve the requested permissions.
  3. You are redirected to the NaafiPay onboarding flow. Sign in or create an account.
  4. Choose which storefront to connect (multi-storefront accounts can connect a different storefront per Shopify store).
  5. Return to Shopify, open Settings → Payments, and activate NaafiPay.

Configure the payment method

Inside Settings → Payments → NaafiPay you can choose the rails to offer (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Bank Transfer, Card), set a per-rail surcharge if you want to pass on transaction fees, and customise the display name shown at checkout. The display name appears verbatim, so we recommend something like “bKash, Nagad, Rocket” rather than just “NaafiPay” — your customers know the rails, not the aggregator.

How orders flow

When a customer chooses NaafiPay at checkout, Shopify redirects them to the hosted NaafiPay checkout page. After successful payment, NaafiPay redirects back to Shopify and the order is created in your Shopify orders dashboard with the financial status set to paid. If the customer abandons the payment, no Shopify order is created.

TipWebhook syncing
The app subscribes to payment.completed, payment.failed, and refund.processed webhooks automatically. You do not need to configure any webhooks manually. If a customer's payment is verified late (rare, but happens for bank transfers), the order's financial status flips from pending to paid the moment the webhook arrives.

Refunds

Process refunds from the standard Shopify order page. Click Refund, enter the amount, and confirm. The app forwards the refund to NaafiPay, which credits the customer's original payment method within one business day for MFS and up to seven business days for cards.

WarningTest mode requires Shopify Bogus Gateway
Shopify does not allow real payment methods in test stores. To test the NaafiPay app end-to-end, use a development store with the Bogus Gateway enabled, or switch your live store into test mode briefly (Shopify documents this in their checkout settings).

Uninstalling

Removing the app from Shopify automatically deactivates the payment method. Past orders remain visible and refundable from your NaafiPay dashboard.
